About Mount Fuji Challenge!

My name is Sarah Saleem. I am a teacher and I've worked at Sakeenah as a caseworker and resource coordinator for the last 3 years. I help to support women and children facing domestic violence, homelessness, poverty or struggling with personal trials. I also devote my time to volunteer for Big Brother, Big Sisters as a mentor to guide youth with coping mechanisms for dealing with difficulties and promote social resilience and positive relationships between their peers and and family.

You may have seen me on social media a while back raising awareness for Syrian Refugees living in Turkey. Alhamdulillah, your YOUR help, I collected over $8100k for the cause and climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, highest free standing mountain in the world to show my dedication for raising the funds. This year, I have the opportunity to climb another mountain. This time, Mount Fuji in Japan, inshAllah! Please help me raise awareness and help women and children across Canada. Domestic violence, food insecurity and mental health issues are everywhere, even in our own backyard. This Ramadan, in the last 10 days, please help the people who are closest to us and donate to Sakeenah and I will show you my journey of climbing Mount Fuji... with my husband whose becoming a climber too!
